He looks great!

I've seen him twice in the past three years, and he seems to really enjoy himself. There's a lot of interplay between him and his band, all nods and smiles, like they're swapping inside jokes. And then he unleashes a blast of sound that sounds like stars being born and acts as nonchalant as can be—no guitar hero faces or postures. The last time I saw him was in the acoustically perfect Performing Arts Center at the University of Buffalo, where he got a standing ovation—after his second song.

It was weird—all I could find were cheap seats in the five minutes after the tickets went on sale, but last night when I checked just for the heck of it, I scored the good ones. Baffling.

Hey, I never got an email that you replied to my comment - sorry for the delayed response. The newest old one is awesome, but I haven't listened to the oldest one yet. The boys got me the Lorde cd (she sings that song, "Royals" if you ever listen to the radio) and it is so freakin' addictive, I can't believe how much I'm enjoying it.

No need to apologize. Paige played an older WOD song on the show Tuesday and it sounded good. (We hijacked the station for an hour; she stuck around after graduating and just headed home yesterday.)

I'm listening to the new Connor Oberst disc over the past couple of days. Still trying to wrap my ears around it. My early impression is that he's a clever lyricist. I know nothing about his previous work as a solo artist or with Bright Eyes, though.
