If the Six endorses:

title or description

Every song a gem. Every song with a hook. Unflinching storytelling, most of the stories dealing with love, loss, mistakes made and attempts (sometimes futile) to undo them. Music that perfectly complements each song. It won't knock you out at first, but it rewards repeat listening and gets better each time I play it.

Glad you're enjoying it as much as we are. I hope it's a good show, and a good crowd. He's a Ryan Adams kind of storyteller with a more melodic voice, that's how I describe him to folks who aren't familiar.

Love these lyrics -
And the church bells are ringing for those who are easy to please
And the frost on the ground probably envies the frost on the trees

And Yvette gives me shivers every time I hear it.

"Yvette" is practically a novel on its own.

"Elephant" is the song that knocks me out, though. I tend to sing along with the music when I drive, and it's difficult to finish.

I'm most impressed by the detail in his stories: for instance, describing the dying woman in "Elephant" as having "sharecropper eyes." What an image.
