Music, matrimony and misunderstandings

The highlight of my work week is the radio show I co-host with a student on Thursday mornings. My co-host is 20, maybe 21; I'm 58. Her parents are my age, so she knows much of the music I play. I'm nowhere near her age, so I haven't heard about 98 percent of the music she plays. But when I hear something I like, I jot down the artist and the song and then buy it from iTunes.

I did this a couple of weeks ago. When I got home, I tossed the index card onto my desk in my home office. For one reason or another, I didn't buy the song and the card sat there for a few days, but one afternoon I noticed the card again—or, I should say, I noticed what it said on the card:

Group Love. Betty's a Bombshell.

Divorce proceeding probably have resulted from less "evidence" than that.

I'm surprised she puts up with me at all, to tell the truth.

I think my favorite band name is I Wrestled a Bear Once. No divorce proceedings--just extreme bragging rights.
