I posted a comment on a New York Times editorial Sunday, and it wound up as one of the Readers' Picks—which is to say it received the 10th-most "recommend"s from other readers—even though it showed up well into the list of reader comments.

There's something I'll be adding to my résumé: "published in the New York Times."

This one would! "Ah yes, felixwas - I knew him when..."

But seriously, that's so awesomely cool. What was the editorial about, and what was the nature of your comment? You know, in case the media come running to your fellow LJers for reactions.

The editorial was about hydrofracking and how it won't be allowed in the watersheds that supply Syracuse and New York City. I pointed out that I live 70 miles south of Buffalo and get my water from a well—so why isn't my water supply being given the same protection?
