Let me get this off my chest

Few things, if any at all, look stupider than:

title or description
Someone walking or driving with a cigarette in his or her mouth. I'm not talking about a cigarette hanging from the lips, which is a dumb look in and of itself. I'm talking about a cigarette that shoots straight out of the mouth. I think smoking men think it makes them look bad-ass. I can't guess what's in a woman's mind.

Frank Zappa's theory of the universe: “Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe."

Maybe it's because smoking has been banned in so many places here that it's more rare than common, or maybe it's because we don't have a single friend or acquaintance who smokes, but whatever the reason, I find myself lately being caught completely offguard at the sight of someone smoking while doing an activity outdoors. I want to scream, "You're supposed to be enjoying nature out here!"

There, I got that off my chest in your "getting it off your chest" post. A two-fer.

I really, really have trouble with young parents smoking around their young kids. There oughta be a law.

I used to take my car to an old time mechanic..didn't even have a lift...it always amazed me that he would work over a running engine with a lit cigarette in his mouth puffing away while the gas vapors and sparks flew...even stoopider...last month I assisted a woman with COPD that smoked nonstop for the past 35 years...Social Security found her disable back two years and awarded her 18,000 in a back award...the money ain't nothin' when you draw a breath and it feels like it's coming from a swizzle stick...unfortunately, it will get worse...sadly stupid

Probably took some of the money and bought a couple of cartons.

You would not believe the number of people that I deal with that smoke while they are using an oxygenator to breathe...A couple I knew had COPD... on oxygen and had a room full of free cartons...when asked why they still smoked as sick as they were...they replied we can't waste the money we saved with the coupons...really stupid
