Face it

On occasion, this blog occasionally comments on various magazine covers from supermarket checkout lines. One thing I notice in almost every line is a face. A popular face. A particular popular face. A face that haunts me, troubles me, burns itself into my memory, strikes fear into me, floats on the inside of my eyelids as I wait for sleep to erase that face.

I do not understand why people like her. Her voice and delivery is grating, she teeters on the edge of dishonesty, she is frightening-looking, her recipes are disgusting, and she is just overall unappealing. But that's just me. I could be wrong.

You should be more frank and direct when you express your opinions.

Seriously, the only place I have ever seen her is on magazine covers in the check-out line. She reminds me of a hybrid of Tammy Faye Baker and the Silver Surfer.

Anthony Bourdain called her the most dangerous person on the planet. That might be a bit extreme...
